yep. it's good fast painting. very nice colors. I have just one subjective note. I think that if you used as imitation of natural brush instead of round brush it would look much better (more like natural painting).

I've met artists making a good living creating similar works in oils. I love the quick painterly strokes. I bet doing studies like this will help your fantasy based works in the future. Good work Krista.

Just saw ur image on a Mac-screen again....Colors seem to be brighter on mac always...
Maybe a highlight on the nose ... think that would make it even better...dont know...

Yeah, I drew it on a mac, so that's why it's superdark on normal monitors. IMHO, I think it works at either light level, which makes me happy.

I do sometimes use my life drawings as reference for more finalized pics (note "Loner"

For life drawing, this is my style. If it had been a longer pose, I would have refined it more, but this is what I could do in 45 minutes

Well...unfortunately, i worked pretty spontaneously on this one. It was a 45 minute pose, and I just blotted in the colors in as I saw them. I started by sketching an outline of the guy that I then drew over though.
I'm working on a step-by-step of a piece that's in progress though...I don't know if it'll measure up, but it'll be something. Give it a couple weeks
