Description
I started this piece over a year ago and only recently got around to re-opening it and finishing it.The idea behind this was that the youth in the scene is undertaking a rite of passage, being sent out into the wastelands to prove he can survive a month in spite of the odds. In order to do so, he killed the giant lizard to mask his scent and provide shelter from larger predators. (Maybe I overthink these things, yeah? haha.)
Painter 8, Photoshop CS. No clue how many hours...but certainly well over 30.
Thanks for lookin'!

Darturbrain - Yeah, I see what you mean. I think my tendancy is generally to paint really clean, and I never get around to adding grime. Detail yes...but not the grittiness that would make it more real. It's something I'll keep in mind for future stuff. Interesting observation.

I liked the two not so obvious points of warm & cold light. I didnt liked the plastic blood that much.
Keep the good work!
